I promised my friend Jon that I would play the Blue Bus song when the bus finally pulled away to start the adventure. As much as I like to be totally spontaneous, I know that a plan must be forged to keep me headed in a direction. In short, the goal is to get to Virginia, visit my sister, and trade building a website for a campground in the town next to her. She lives in a townhouse with no bus parking, so I needed to find parking, and if I'm gonna park my house, I might as well reside in it too.

Here is the Vagabond Bucket List for 2009:
Virginia
Mount Hood, Oregon (Skiing on my Birthday)
Burning Man Festival
Slab City
Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

Anything less is great, anything more is expected. I have always wanted to see snow on my birthday, and I am determined this year to do it. Whats better than seeing snow on your birthday in the middle of summer, is going skiing on your birthday.

We read your bus adventure with intrest. We followed construction jobs in a 1954 chevrolet 48 passenger school bus camper for years. Insulation from heat and cold was a big issue, even after insulating it.

temperature and moisture fluctuation seem to be a HUGE thing with a skoolie. So far, I am loving living in an old school bus. Just can't wait to meet up with another bus in my journeys. I know they are out there.
